MARK MOORE HOMES, INC. is the successor company to Moore Homes, Inc.,
incorporated in 1952, and Mark Moore, Jr. who started his home building
business in Lexington in 1948. Through all these years, the Company has
been developing land as well as designing and building residential and
commercial properties in Lexington and the surrounding communities. These
years have gained for the firm an enviable reputation for thorough planning,
architectural distinction, authentic Colonial detail, and concern for
the human and natural environment.
Mark Moore Homes is a related company to Moore Designs, Inc., an architectural services firm, which also supplies its talents to outside parties as Incite Architecture; Mor Management Corp., a residential and commercial property management firm; and, Moore Realty, a real estate brokerage company. Collectively, these organizations are known as The Moore Companies.
Starting in 1995, the daily operation of Mark Moore Homes transitioned from its founder, Mark Moore Jr., to his daughter, Patricia J. Carney, who has been associated with the Company since 1977. By 1997, the transition was complete with Mr. Moore continuing in an active, daily role consulting to the Company.
